The CALM Initiative Team will be traveling to Richmond, Virginia as an exhibitor for pore water pressure and stability monitoring equipment for the ACAA 2018 Workshop on Current Issues in Ponded Ash.

Ash Basin Safety Awareness (ABSA) — 8-Hour Worker & 20-Hour Supervisor Courses, Southeast Sites

The CALM Initiative Team is able to provide ABSA training at ash basin sites and contractor's offices located in North Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. CALM Initiative Members receive 2 complimentary slots for the 8-Hour Worker Safety course per year. Task Force Meeting – Mid South Location, TBD

The CALM Initiative is planning to organize a Task Force Meeting for all three of the CALM Initiative Task Forces (ie: Dust Emissions & Site Management, Encapsulation & Paste, Ash Basin Stability) on May 16 & 17. Global EnviroSummit 2020

EnviroSummit is a global conference with international presentations in the morning on the main stage, and breakout sessions for Remediation, Vapor Intrusion, Air Quality and Wastewater in the afternoon. CALM Members will lead The Future of Coal Ash break-out session on Wednesday, September 2 from 1:25 - 5pm. This event is hosted both in-person, at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel or virtually.
