Project Description
Develop an innovative closure design and geotechnical investigation program for an ash basin located adjacent to the Miami River in Ohio. Project activities included consideration of slope stability and seismic liquefaction potential for variety of stormwater management scenarios. The 17-acre coal ash basin closure included removal of a portion of the containment dam to allow de-listing of the dam from the state dam registry.
