Project Description
Chris Hardin served as the project leader and design engineer for the remediation of an 83-km canal, and design of a 35 acre, HDPE lined sediment landfill. Project activities included working as a World Bank funded project manager to train local Tianjin engineers and contractors to complete design/build activities valued in excess of $40 million. A 35-acre hazardous waste lined landfill was designed by Chinese engineers under Mr. Hardin’s direction to contain over 800,000 cubic meters of contaminated sediments that were excavated in preparation for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
