Bench Scale and Pilot Scale Testing

A wide variety of geotechnical, wastewater, encapsulation and geosynthetic tests can be conducted at our in-house lab and/or at the labs of the CALM Initiative members.   Typical testing includes mix designs for coal combustion residual (CCR) encapsulation, leachability testing, and geotechnical testing for seismic and static strength characteristics.   If a test does not exist for the proposed use of CCRs then the CALM or EEIF professionals can develop test methods and proof of concept pilot scale tests.
